From a debut gig in Glasgow’s Mono in 2013, 14 piece Fat-Suit have since recorded and released two albums through independent record label Equinox Records, embark on a 16 day European Tour, a Scottish release Tour including educational workshops at schools and universities throughout the country, play at theEdinburgh Jazz Festival, the Wickerman Festival, Celtic Connections 2014 and the Aberdeen Jazz Festival record a full length DVD featuring the live recordings from the ‘Jugaad’ session and they don’t plan on holding back into 2015!
Featuring a unique array of instruments including horns, keys, fiddles, guitars and percussion, Fat-Suit are an immersive live spectacle with audiences from Inverness to Budapest smitten due to tight rhythmic intricacies and expressive melodies. Described as “a collective sonic surge” by Rob Adams of The Herald, the live show is one which you can’t miss in today’s impressive music scene.
Fat-Suit provide perhaps the most impressive example of genre-straddling currently on the circuit in the UK with influences of Scottish Traditional Music, Funk, Fusion, Jazz, House and many more infiltrating their musical vocabulary.
